Concordia Seminary to Host Conflict Resolution Seminars
The popular conflict resolution seminar, "Responding to Conflict Confessionally," will be offered April 30-May 1 at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. A separate, more advanced seminar titled "Conciliator Training Practicum" will be offered May 1-3 on the Seminary campus. Ted Kober, director of leadership training for Peacemaker Ministries, will lead the seminars.
The first seminar teaches biblical principles for personal conflict resolution and provides practical applications for personal, business, church and legal conflicts. Participants also will learn how familiar teachings in Luther's Small and Large Catechisms and the Augsburg Confession reinforce biblical conflict resolution.
The second seminar provides advanced training and prepares participants to coach others in conflict or mediate disputes between Christians. The Practicum is highly interactive and provides participants with opportunities to practice and expand their peacemaking skills.
Peacemaker ministries has been providing valuable training in reconciling conflicts for church professionals and others for many years. The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod Reconcilers, as well as the majority of its circuit counselors, have received training from Peacemaker Ministries.
The cost for the "Responding to Conflict Confessionally" seminar is $160. Those wishing to attend the "Conciliator Training Practicum" are required to purchase the training course ($245), and registration costs are $295 for those working with nonprofit church or ministry groups and $345 for all others, if received by April 3.
