Seminary Visitation Event for Prospective Pastors and Deaconesses
Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, is pleased to invite prospective students and their guests to attend its 2007 Spring Visitation, to be held March 8-10 on the Seminary campus. Designed for those who are college age or older, the weekend provides an effective means of learning more about life in the Concordia Seminary community and the preparation that leads to service as a pastor, missionary, chaplain or deaconess in The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.
Visitors will have the opportunity to worship with the Seminary community in The Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus, visit classes and tour the campus. Participants also will hear presentations on academic offerings, financial assistance, housing, resident field education, vicarage, internship and the admission process. Guests also may wish to take advantage of the many recreational opportunities in the St. Louis area.
An Information Fair on Friday afternoon is designed to highlight the myriad of organizations and opportunities that life at Concordia Seminary offers. More than 30 representatives from organizations involved in nearly all aspects of life in the Seminary community will be present to share information and answer questions.
The Seminary Women’s Association will host an informal breakfast gathering on Saturday morning for all the women at the visitation. This gathering will introduce participants to the resources and activities specifically designed to assist all women in the Seminary community.
Guests of the visitation participants will be invited to take a short bus tour of the local community while the prospective students visit classes in session. The tour will familiarize guests with the many opportunities readily available in close proximity to the Seminary.
There is no charge to attend the Spring Visitation, and all meals and lodging are provided free of charge. Round-trip transportation to Concordia Seminary from the airport is provided.
