Loum participates in ordination
Dr. John Loum, director of the Seminary’s EIIT Program, along with a number of other LCMS pastors, participated in the ordination and installation of Pastor Gatluk Reat (first row, third from left) March 17 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault, Minn. Reat is a 2017 graduate of the Seminary’s Ethnic Immigrant Institute of Theology (EIIT) Program. Those surrounding Reat include a number of other graduates of the EIIT Program. Reat’s call is to serve as a missionary circuit pastor, serving churches in Faribault, Austin, Albert Lea and Columbia Heights on a part-time, rotating basis and leading mission outreach among the Sudanese people in Southern Minnesota.
“God be praised,” exclaimed Loum. “A recent EIIT graduate was ordained, surrounded overwhelmingly by former EIIT graduates who are now LCMS pastors. What an awesome sight!”
