Support the Sem on Give STL Day May 10
Gifts will be doubled up to the first $10k raised
Local and nationwide supporters of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis have a special opportunity to help further the Seminary’s vital mission during the annual Give STL Day event May 10. Now in its 10th year, Give STL Day is an online, one-day giving event organized by the St. Louis Community Foundation for the benefit of nonprofits headquartered in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
The Seminary’s goal for Give STL Day is to raise $25,000 in support of its mission to prepare the church’s future pastors, deaconesses, missionaries, teachers and other church leaders to go out from St. Louis across the world to shine the light of the Gospel.
Thanks to a special matching opportunity, donations to this year’s Give STL Day campaign will be doubled dollar for dollar up to the first $10,000 raised.
“We are excited to invite our friends near and far to be part of our Give STL Day campaign and to partner with the Seminary during this special time,” said Vicki Biggs, senior vice president of Seminary Advancement and chief communications officer. “Through this campaign, donor gifts may be doubled — allowing those who participate to double the impact of their support for the mission of the Seminary and the ongoing preparation of our church’s future leaders. We are so grateful for this wonderful opportunity to be in partnership with our friends for the sake of the Gospel!”
Online donations can be made beginning April 10 at givestlday.org/concordiasem or 800-822-5287. In celebration of the 10th year of Give STL Day, the St. Louis Community Foundation is extending the annual giving day an extra 10 hours. Give STL Day will end at 10 a.m. May 11, allowing for 10 extra hours to make an impact for Concordia Seminary’s important mission.
Individuals also can show their support for the Seminary by spreading the word on social media using the hashtags #GiveSTLDay and #SupportTheSem.
“Our students are so appreciative of our donors and the support they give. With your partnership, the Seminary is able to continue its mission of preparing future church workers,” added Megan Duncan, manager of annual giving and the Seminary’s Give STL Day campaign manager.
