2023 Lutheran Prayer Breakfast set for Nov. 8
Registration is now open for the annual Lutheran Prayer Breakfast, slated for Nov. 8 at the Sunset Event Space in St. Louis, Mo.
The annual event, sponsored by several St. Louis-based Lutheran ministries, invites attendees to come early and enjoy the expanded time for fellowship before the program begins.
Speaking at this year’s breakfast is Rev. Tim Carter (SMP ’17), associate pastor of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Columbus, Ind. He will be speaking on “Sent out as sheep in the midst of wolves.” Before attending Concordia Seminary, Carter retired from a 21-year career with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a death row prison captain. He is the author of The Executioner’s Redemption, which details his journey from executioner to pastor and which has led Carter to serve as a consultant to many prison ministries.
Doors open at 7 a.m.; breakfast and program begin at 8 a.m. The cost of the event is $25 per person; $250 per table of 10. Attendees are encouraged to register individually or with a group by Monday, Oct. 30.
