2024 Alumni Reunion set for Oct. 10-11

Special welcome extended to jubilarian class of 1974, silver anniversary class of 1999

Alumni Reunion 2024

The annual Alumni Reunion for graduates of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis will be held Oct. 10-11 on campus. The 2024 reunion extends a special welcome to members of the jubilarian class of 1974; the silver anniversary class of 1999; and graduates, spouses and widows of alumni from class years ending in “4” or “9.”

The reunion provides an opportunity for attendees to reconnect, reminisce and celebrate. It also offers time for alumni to reacquaint themselves with the beautiful Concordia Seminary campus and the global ministry taking place at their alma mater.

“We look forward to having our alumni back on campus for these festivities,” said Vicki Biggs, senior vice president of Seminary Advancement and chief communications officer. “The reunion is a highlight of the year. It’s a joy to host these very special guests – these brothers and sisters who serve and have served so faithfully in ministry – back where the formation for their life’s work began. We give thanks to God for each and every person and are thrilled for this special opportunity to say ‘welcome home’!”

On Oct. 9, the eve of the reunion, an alumni soccer game will take place. Alumni players will take on the current Seminary Preachers team. Alumni interested in playing should sign up in advance of the reunion.

Additional highlights of this year’s reunion include:

  • Recognition of the jubilarian class, silver anniversary class and all alumni in chapel
  • Interactive presentation with Dr. Thomas J. Egger, president of Concordia Seminary
  • An in-depth look at the chapel stained glass windows with Dr. David Schmitt, professor of Practical Theology and member of the committee that oversaw the design of the windows
  • Ample time for class gatherings
  • Closing banquet featuring a performance by Laudamus, the Seminary’s select choir of seminarians

Registration for the reunion is $150 per person for two days or $85 per person for one day. Registration may be made online or by mail addressed to Alumni Relations at the Seminary. The deadline to register is Sept. 16.

A limited number of hotel rooms are available at the nearby Cheshire-Saint Louis with a special group rate of $125/per night, available through Friday, Sept. 22. Reservations may be made online or by calling 314-647-7300. Be sure and refer to the “Concordia Alumni Block.”
