Give Green and Gold Day 2024 set for Sept. 25
Gifts matched up to first $50k raised
Preparing pastors, deaconesses and missionaries who are faithful to the Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions is central to the mission of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis and is the focus of the Seminary’s annual Give Green and Gold Day set for Sept. 25. This year’s campaign is themed “A Time Together – A Time to Give,” and gifts given will be used where needed most in support of the Seminary’s mission.
Thanks to a matching gift, donations will be matched dollar for dollar up to the first $50,000 raised toward an overall $100,000 campaign goal. Donors can visit the campaign giving page to make their online contributions from Sept. 1-25.
“There is so much love and care for our seminarians, and one way we see that is through the generous support our donors provide,” said Vicki Biggs, senior vice president of Seminary Advancement and chief communications officer. “We are excited to invite our donors to participate in this year’s Give Green and Gold Day campaign – with the special opportunity to double the impact of their gifts – and to partner with us in Concordia Seminary’s vital mission!”
Seminary friends also are invited to encourage others in their support for Give Green and Gold Day by spreading the word on social media using the hashtag #GiveGreenandGold, by sharing the giving page or by calling 800-822-5287.
“With the success of the previous Give Green and Gold Days, we know that our donors, new or returning, will make this year’s campaign even greater,” said Karla Meyer, director of annual giving and Give Green and Gold Day campaign manager. “Gifts of all sizes that support the mission of Concordia Seminary are greater than gold — they are blessings!”
Give Green and Gold Day is one of three annual giving days at the Seminary. Learn more about the Seminary’s annual giving days at csl.edu/giving-days.
