Support the Sem on Give STL Day May 8
Matching opportunity available

Local and nationwide supporters of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis have a special opportunity to help further the Seminary’s vital mission of preparing the church’s future church workers during this year’s annual Give STL Day event May 8.
Give STL Day is an online giving event organized by the St. Louis Community Foundation for the benefit of nonprofits headquartered in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
With the theme of “Give STL Day: Forming Tomorrow’s Church Leaders Today,” the Seminary aims to raise $50,000 during this special campaign. All gifts given will be used where needed most in support of the Seminary’s mission to prepare the church’s future pastors, missionaries and deaconesses. A matching opportunity is available, doubling the impact of each unrestricted gift up to the first $30,000 raised.
“It is a very special privilege to partner with friends of Concordia Seminary who care so deeply for our students and want to ensure the ongoing mission of this institution,” said Vicki Biggs, senior vice president for Seminary Advancement and chief communications officer. “During this unique giving campaign, when gifts can be doubled, it’s an extra-special opportunity for that partnership to double in impact, and we are thankful for every person who participates.”
Early giving begins April 23. Donations can be made online at givestlday.org/concordiasem or by calling 800-822-5287.
Friends and supporters also can help by spreading the word on social media using the hashtags #GiveSTLDay and #SupportTheSem.
“What a wonderful blessing to see people join together as a community of supporters to lift up the mission of Concordia Seminary during this Give STL Day,” said Karla Meyer, director of annual giving and the Seminary’s Give STL Day Campaign manager.
