Deaf Institute of Theology to Host Deaf L.I.T.E.S. Workshop
Concordia Seminary’s Deaf Institute of Theology will host a Deaf L.I.T.E.S. (Lutherans in Training, Equipping and Serving) Workshop on May 29 – June 2, 2007, on the campus of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. The event is designed for pastors, students and others interested in deaf ministry.
The week-long intensive immersion program is designed to provide participants with religious sign language skills, resources for teaching and training deaf people, ongoing support, skills and ideas for deaf ministry, and practical experience.
Registration for the Deaf L.I.T.E.S. Workshop is $575 and includes meals, lodging, tuition, books and materials. A $100 deposit is required with registration to reserve meals and lodging. The registration and deposit are due three weeks prior to the workshop. CEU credits are available for an added fee.
The Deaf L.I.T.E.S. Workshop also will be held at Concordia University, Mequon, Wis., July 9-13, 2007.
