Annual Dellinger Lecture Features Tony Snow

A capacity crowd attended the fifth annual Hubert L. Dellinger, Jr., Lecture held Nov. 13 in the Clara and Spencer Werner Auditorium on the campus of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. Television political analyst Tony Snow delivered the address which was interrupted several times by applause.

Snow spoke of the United States as a nation at a crossroads following the tragic events of September 11, 2001. He referred to the nation's founding fathers and their view of government's role in the lives of people and their inherent trust in the nation's citizenry. Following his formal address, Snow responded to audience questions for nearly 45 minutes.

Audio and video files of the lecture will be available on the Seminary's Web site (www.csl.edu) within the next week.

Snow is host of the FOX News Sunday public affairs program and a political analyst for FOX News. Snow was a nationally syndicated columnist with the Detroit News from 1993 to 2000, and a columnist for USA Today from 1994 to 2000. His writings appear in more than 200 newspapers nationwide. He has appeared on radio and television programs worldwide including The McLaughlin Group, Crossfire and Good Morning America.

The Hubert L.
