‘Giving Tuesday’ campaign raises $8,033
Funds will support student financial aid and scholarships
FIGURES UPDATED DEC. 1, 2016.
With joy and gratitude, Concordia Seminary, St. Louis is pleased to announce that during Giving Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016, a total of $8,033 was raised thanks to the generous support of dozens of donors. This amount surpasses gifts given in 2015 by 70 percent.
“To all of our donors, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!” said Vicki Biggs, senior vice president for Seminary Advancement. “Your gifts on Giving Tuesday and every other day of the year have been and will continue to make a difference for our students — present and future — who will serve the church and its people for generations to come. We can’t say it enough: Thank you!”
All funds raised during this one-day event support student financial aid and scholarships.
Begun in 2012, Giving Tuesday is an annual international day of giving that focuses on philanthropy instead of the consumerism of the post-Thanksgiving season that includes Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday. Concordia Seminary and supporters used the hashtags #PrepareAPastor and #GivingTuesday on social media to help spread the word about the campaign.
Supporters who still wish to give during this holiday season can do so by contacting us 800-822-5287 or [email protected] or by clicking here.
