Contemplate visitation event set for September 20-21

College-age, post-college men, women invited to visit Seminary

Interested in attending Concordia Seminary or know someone who is? Spread the word about Contemplate, a visitation event that gives prospective students an opportunity to learn about life at the Seminary in St. Louis. This free event for people who are college-age and older and would like to learn more about preparation that leads to service as a pastor or deaconess will be held Sept. 20-21.

Contemplate attendees will engage in sessions that focus on the spiritual and personal aspects of the decision-making process of becoming a seminarian, as well as learn about the academic programs, field education, vicarage or internship year, financial aid, housing and the enrollment process. The event coincides with the 2022 Theological Symposium to give participants the added bonus of attending symposium plenaries and events.

“While discerning whether to attend Seminary, a visit to our campus and experiencing Seminary life is so important,” said Director of Recruitment Rev. Micah Glenn. “It’s our hope that Contemplate will provide that needed opportunity for participants to further discern whether Concordia Seminary — and a call to ministry — is part of their future.”

The deadline to register is Aug. 22. Learn more or sign up at csl.edu/contemplate. Contemplate is one of two visitation events for prospective students held throughout the year that provide a preview of the Seminary’s ministerial formation experience. Individual visits also can be scheduled and are highly encouraged for those considering attending the Seminary. For more information, contact the Seminary at 800-822-9545 or [email protected], or visit csl.edu/admissions.
