75th Anniversary Celebration
Calling all Preachers basketball fans, players, coaches and managers: Come celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Pederson Field House Feb. 20-22, 2025, on the campus of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis!
Together, we'll turn back the clock and share memories, hear thought-provoking talks about basketball and ministry, enjoy a special banquet and, of course, play basketball on the illustrious hardwood floors of the Pederson Field House!
This exciting event includes the following for paid registrants:
- Opening dinner banquet and program
- Special tailgate-style party
- One swag bag for each paid registration (while supplies last)
- Presentation: “Psychological Salvation: The Psalms, Basketball and the Holy Spirit” with Dr. Timothy Saleska
- Open gymnasium Saturday morning with donuts
Alumni who only want to play in the alumni basketball games (and not attend the rest of the event) may do so at no cost, but registration is still required.
Registration cost for the event: $40 per person
Registration for alumni games only: No cost
Registration deadline: Feb. 6, 2025

And why are we willing to work so hard at playing what is at the end of the day, “just a game?” In this presentation, Dr. Timothy Saleska, professor of Exegetical Theology, will suggest a reason that may sound slightly crazy. If he can pull it off, he hopes to get at a deeper truth about the power of the Gospel and about our faith and our lives as Christians — people with bodies and deep emotional lives. Koburg Hall |
