Linda Dzuris
Linda Dzuris became the first carillonneur for Clemson University (1999), S.C., where she also serves as the chair of the Department of Performing Arts. She is a North American Carillon School performance instructor and American representative of the Royal Carillon School “Jef Denyn’”’ in Mechelen, Belgium. She received her Bachelor of Music, Master of Music and Doctor of Music Arts degrees in organ performance and church music, studying with James Kibbie at the University of Michigan. She also has studied at The Netherlands Carillon School in Amersfoort, Netherlands. Dzuris is the vice president of the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America (GCNA) and has been a featured guest artist in carillon concert series throughout the United States and Europe. Her original carillon compositions have been published by American Carillon Music Editions and the Yale Guild of Carillonneurs.
